Frances Osteika

Frances Rothwell Osteika, 80, died Thursday, May 23, 2012, at the residence in Ooltewah.Born in Pikeville, Tenn., she was formerly of Queens, N.Y., and Seminole, Fla., She had lived in Ooltewah for the past four years and was of the Baptist faith.She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Brzezinski and Robert Osteika; parents, Herman and Carrie Gill Rothwell; two brothers, Donnie and Clayton Rothwell; three sisters, Bonnie Sneed and Dorothy "Dot" Thurman; grandson, Joshua Lord; several nieces and nephews.Survivors: two daughters, Carol (Simon) Dean, Chattanooga, Karen Lord, Ooltewah; and son, Freddie (Carol) Ritchie, Georgetown; three brothers, Gerald Rothwell, Dayton, Floyd Rothwell, Lupton City, Tenn., Clyde Rothwell,Harrison; two sisters, Beulah McKinney, Ocoee, Tenn., Janice Clayton, Georgetown; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral will be 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Black, First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks, Seminole, Fla.Interment in Rhea Memory Gardens.
