Charles Lovell

Charles E. Lovell, 65, husband of Betsy Smith Lovell for 46 years, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012.Mr. Lovell was born July 27, 1947 in Chattanooga, to the late Thomas Hooper Lovell and Daisy Claire Trimble Lovell. He retired as a mechanical engineer from Michelin Tire Corporation and was an alumnus of Tennessee Technical University. He enjoyed boating, fishing, woodworking and being a "grampa" to his beloved grandchildren. He was a big fan of the University of Tennessee football team.Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons and their wives, Jason and Stephanie Lovell, and Matt and Lesa Lovell; two sisters and their husbands, Linda and Mickey Cobble and Tommie and Ron Rogers; and six grandchildren, Austin, Brandon, Riley, Rhett, Brent and Melenia.He was predeceased by a sister, Rosemary Roden.Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Burial will be in Graceland East Cemetery.
