Dorothy HarenROCKWOOD Dorothy Louise "Bootie" Haren, 88, a lifetime resident of Rockwood, passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at The Bridge at Rockwood.She graduated from Rockwood High School and attended Knoxville Business College. Mrs. Haren worked at Oak Ridge in the early part of WWII; and later at Dunn and Bradstreet in Knoxville; and then for many years at the Tennessee Department of Employment Security. The great love of her life was her family. She was a devoted member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Rockwood, where she was awarded the Elder Emeritus Award for her service. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Carrie Doughty; husband, W.J. "Bill" Haren; sister, Catheline; and brothers, Floyd and Clarence.Survivors include: children, Vanessa Lovelace and husband, Jim, of Knoxville, Tenn., Marsha Berry and husband, Ron of Rockwood, Dr. Vincent Haren and wife, Jane, of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. today, Nov. 3, 2012, at the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, 328 W. Rockwood St., Rockwood, TN 37854.Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 3, at the church with Rev. Ron Buck officiating.Graveside services and interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood.Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, P.O.
