Harold Earnest

Harold Winston "Red" Earnest, 85, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 in a local hospital.He was a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed a lifetime of farming in Bradley County. "Red" will be greatly missed by his family and friends.He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Veneda Jenkins Earnest; his parents, Charles Barrett and Mildred Elizabeth Nicholson Earnest; son, Terry Ray Earnest; sister, Dorris and husband Ralph Clark; brothers, Charles Earnest, Leonard and wife Kathleen Earnest, Marvin (Whitey) and wife Robbie Earnest and their daughter Linda Earnest. Survivors include, son, David Earnest and his wife Pam, of Charleston; granddaughters Terra Shea Pass and husband Corey, of Charleston, Sarah Beth Earnest and Charles McEntyre, of Old Fort; step-grandchildren Edwin Plank and wife Brooke, Courtney Betancourt and husband Nicholas, and Katie Plank, all of Cleveland; Great grandchildren, Olivia Pass and Stax McEntyre; step-great-grandchildren Savannah Betancourt, Caraline Plank, and Caleb Plank, of Cleveland. Other survivors include one sister Myrtle Earnest Lawson and husband Bill, of Huntsville, Ala.; sisters-in law Tommie Vincent and husband Raymond, Betty Rue and husband Jimmy, Muriel Womac and husband Larry, Faye Jenkins, Bobbie Jenkins; along with several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today from 1 to 2 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church.A celebration of his life will begin at 2 p.m. today at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev.
