Almeda Frazier

Almeda McRee Frazier, of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012.She was a 1940 Graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School where she has been inducted into the Hall of Fame. After high school, Almeda Graduated from the University of Chattanooga with a Masters Degree in Music. She was a member of the Eastern Star Mayflower Chapter #141 and the Daughters of the American Revolution, and she helped established the AARP in Soddy-Daisy. Almeda retired from T.V.A. in 1977 after forty two years of service. She has been a member of the Soddy Presbyterian Church and she attended the Soddy United Methodist Church where she was the pianist. Her parents, Douglas and Nannie Eldridge McRee, preceded her in death.She is survived by her husband, Earl Lee Frazier; cousins, Ernestine Eldridge and Dorothy Hoffman; niece, Elizabeth Heckman; nephews, Sammy Hugh Frazier and Sam Gill Frazier.Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. today, Nov. 5, at the Soddy United Methodist Church, where her body will lie in state from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. with Reverend Ken Scoggins officiating. Burial will follow in Presbyterian Cemetery.
