ROCK SPRING Jesse Alford Yates, 101, passed away at his home on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012.He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Rosa Etheen Yates.He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Dessie and Royce Clark, of Washington; his sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Jeannie Yates, of Texas and J. Frank and Anne Yates, of Rock Spring; sisters, Mildred Gillespie and Dorothy Kirk, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Service conducted by Mr. Leslie Shadrick.Pallbearers are Travis Yates, Brent Yates, Jim Hartline, Noah Turner, Aaron Hunt and Brandon Gilbreath.Interment in LaFayette Memory Garden.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Wednesday to funeral time.The arrangements by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home of LaFayette.
