KNOXVILLE William A.Hall, 88, formerly of Jasper, Tenn., passed away Monday morning, Nov. 5, 2012, at the Ben Atchley State Veterans Home in Knoxville.Bill was a member of First Baptist Church Concord. He was a retired County Extension Leader in Marion County, Tenn., for 42 years. Bill was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Lions Club in Jasper for many years. Bill was an avid gardener.He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Talley Ridley; parents, W. E. and Eva White Hall; sister, Audrey Autrey and Mavis Lovett. Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Morgan Hall; daughter, Janet Ridley of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Beverly Hall of Humble, Texas; grandchildren, Jenney Ridley Headrick and husband, Daniel, of Knoxville, Julie Hall, of Humble, Texas; great-grandchildren, Mary Frances Headrick and Joseph Daniel Headrick; cousin, Frances Emison of Humboldt, Tenn.The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Click Funeral Home, Farragut Chapel.Family and friends will gather at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 East Governor Highway, Knoxville with full military honors conferred by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lions Club, www.lionsclubs.org.Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel, 11915 Kingston Pike is serving the Hall family. www.clickfh.com.
