Dennis Tackett

Dennis Carroll Tackett, 69, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 in a local hospital.He was a native of Cartersville, Ga., but had spent the greater part of his life in the Chattanooga area. Mr. Tackett was employed as an Iron worker for many years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Tackett; parents, Cleveland and Jeanette Tackett; and brothers, Clyde and Harold Tackett.Survivors include his daughter, Janet Lynn Tackett; his companion of seventeen years, Betty Mann; sisters, Karen Tackett and Betty Joyce Tackett; step-children, Ricky and Reginald Pursley; grandchildren, Ashley Hope and Marcus Lebron Tackett.Funeral services will be held today at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Rev.
