Esther Goodwin

Esther R. Goodwin, 91, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.Mrs. Goodwin was born and raised in Walling, Tenn., to John and Mae Bell Bain. She was a lifelong dedicated member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and in other activities of the church. She was also the past president of the Mary Mont Garden Club.She was preceded in death by her son, William T. Goodwin Jr.; and grandson, Christian Goodwin.Surviving are her husband of 70 years, William T. Goodwin Sr.; two sons, Charles (Phyllis) Goodwin and Gwin (Carol) Goodwin; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters; and three brothers.Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev.
