John ParrishCHICKAMAUGA Judge John Thomas "J.T." Parrish Sr., 70, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012.He born in Chickamauga, to the late Roy E. Parrish Sr. and Elizabeth Mae Autry Parrish. He had served as a Municipal Judge for the Cities of Chickamauga and Fort Oglethorpe. He was a former employee of Chickamauga Telephone Co. and was a former salesman with the Welchel Co. He was a member of Elizabeth Lee United Methodist Church.Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Jo Ford.He is survived by his wife, Nelda Fowler Parrish; their children, Johnna Parrish, John T. Parrish Jr., Karen Hise and Deborah Hise; brother and sister-in-law, Roy E. Parrish Jr. and Cora Ann Parrish; sister, Verlie Lou Geurin; and granddaughter, Hannah Parrish, all of Chickamauga; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends after noon today prior to the service.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 11, in the chapel with Reverends: Rick Maeser and R.D.
