Thomas Gunn

Sr.Thomas Franklin Gunn Sr., of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at a local nursing home.He was a 27 year veteran of the United States Army, where he served in both the Vietnam and Korean Wars.He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mary Gunn; wife, Rosanna Gunn; son, Andrew Hampton; five brothers and four sisters.Those left to cherish his memory include, two sons, Thomas (Noma) Gunn Jr., of Chattanooga, Patrick Gunn, of Charleston, S.C.; daughter, LaFreida (Milton) Corbin, of Chattanooga; stepdaughter, Sylvia (Luther) Tiggs, of Harvest, Ala.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friendsFuneral service is at noon Friday in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Reverend Curtis Russell as the eulogist.Burial: Chattanooga National Cemetery.Visitation is today from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
