Terry Price

Terry Tyrone Price, 67, of Rome Ga., entered eternal rest Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012.Terry graduated with Honors from Howard High School in 1963. As a Hustling Tiger football player, he was awarded the Highest Academic Honors Scholarship. Terry attended Tennessee State University and retired from a managerial position at Syntec Industry. Terry was an active member of Union Hill Baptist and continued his worship at New Life in Rome.Born, July 6, 1945, Terry was the only child of Thelma Long-Harris and the first grandchild to Rev. Richard (Annie Ruth) Long. Terry was raised in a close family by his mother and aunts (The Sisters) who showered him with an abundance of love and admiration. Terry was predeceased by his beloved mother, Thelma Harris; grandfather, Rev. Richard Long, father, William Rounsaville; sister, Teresa Rounsaville: devoted aunts, Mattie Cunningham, Annie Underwood, Jimmie Vaughn, Pauline Cunningham, Wilma Long, Brenda Mitchell; uncle, Clarence "Buster" Farmer.Terrys life is best measured by the lives he touched with his big heart, loving spirit and selfless giving. He is affectionately called Dad by many and known as Mr. Fix It to ALL. His beautiful smile and friendly disposition captured many hearts who will forever cherish his memory. From his first marriage, Terry leaves daughters, Nicelle Price (Derek) Gray, Kimberly (William) Spears and their mother, Emma Walls Price; grandchildren, Ataya Spears, Price Gray, Evan Spears, and a host of Chattanooga family and close friends. From his second marriage, Terry leaves his wife, Jacqueline Price; daughters, Edwina (Mark) Roberts, Karen Byars; son, Rodney Cammon; sisters-in-law, Martha Lattimer, Bernice (Albert) Spivey; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of Rome family and friends.Special family and cousins raised as siblings that he leaves behind will truly miss their beloved Terry.Surviving aunt, Climmie Mason, Cleveland, Ohio; Rome Family, Sandra (Amizah Jr.) Boddie, Dominicon (Melanie) Chubb, of Germany, Devisha Boddie, Frederick Long, Danielle (Ricky) Nixon; Summerville family, Burnetta (Jackie) Pender, Gwinnetta (Orange) Evans, Charles (Tammy) Vaughn Jr., Elaine Wiggins, Gregory Vaughn, Denise Brown; uncles Charles Vaughn Sr., Lorenzo Rounsaville, of Norfolk, Va.; Lafayette Family, Ronald Underwood, Pamela Watson and Peggy Underwood. Terry also leaves a daughter, Terrica Price, of Chattanooga and a son, Nicholas Price, of Covington, Ga. We will all miss and cherish his memory.Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at Greater Christ Temple, 1321 M.L. King Blvd. Rome, GA 30161.
