Herman Haygood

TRION Herman M. Haygood, 71, passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2012.He was a member of Waterville Baptist Church, a former employee of the Hamilton County Board of Education and he enjoyed fishing and raising chickens.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Myra West Haygood; mother, Sarah Louise Voiles; son, Terry Wayne Haygood; brothers, James, Ronald and Clarence Haygood.He is survived by his wife, Karan Haygood, of Trion; son, Joey Wells, of Cleveland; daughters, Brenda Wells, of Irvington, Ky., and Diane Lancaster, of Ider; two sisters, Rose Warren, of Perry, Mary Parks, of LaFayette; brothers, Harold Haygood, of Perry and Cecil Haygood, of LaFayette; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Aaron Sprayberry and Brother David Wells officiating.Interment will follow in LaFayette Memory Gardens.Online guestbook available at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
