Agnes Rodgers

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN Agnes Lucille Rodgers, 83, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at her home.She was born in Wilder, Tenn. to the late Hubert and Ira Mae Gillentine. She was owner/operator of Fort Oglethorpe Beauty Shop for over 50 years, and was a member of the Georgia Silver Haired Legislature.She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Elise Malone, Nannie Jo Raines and Geri Birchfield.Agnes leaves behind her children, Sharree (Craig) Stoker, of Flintstone, Kathy (Glen) Nicotra, of Savannah, Ga., Vickie (Donald) Clark, of Chickamauga, Douglas (Susan) Rodgers, of Griffin, Ga., sisters, Mary Ann Tarrant, Virginia Houser, both of Kingston, Tenn.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel.Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Bohm Birth Defect Center, 975 E.
