Ronald Philip Dubois, 70, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Erlanger Medical Center, surrounded by his family.He was born on June 30, 1942 in Manchester, N.H. to Philip and Emeline Senneville Dubois.Ron grew up in Manchester, later moving to Miami, Fla., where he graduated from Hialeah High School. He attended Dade Community College where he studied advertising. He then began a successful career in the printing and lithography industry. After a few years in Atlanta, he came to Chattanooga in 1982. He worked for almost 20 years at the National Print Group, becoming president of Graphics National, the pre-press division of the company. He was preceded in death by only two weeks by his beloved wife, Sharon. They enjoyed spending weekends together on the water. Ron loved boating and was known to his friends at the marina as 'Captain Ron.' He was always interested in sports, especially football and racing and participated in softball and league bowling. He was an Eagle Scout and scout leader. He was also a skilled woodworker and builder who helped with Habitat for Humanity projects.Ron is survived by his children, Linette Dubois, of Savannah, Ga., Kevin (Annah) Dubois, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Greg Dubois, of Chattanooga; stepdaughter, Vanessa (Kennon) Owensby, of Ooltewah; his grandchildren, Grayson, Emeline, Duncan, Jacob, Tristan, Beck and Tabitha; and by his siblings, Robert (Lucille) Dubois, Richard (Peggy) Dubois and Phyllis (Rudy) Riera, of Albuquerque, N.M.He will be remembered with a private memorial at the marina.An on-line guestbook can be signed at www.ralphbuckner.com.Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of the arrangements.
