Blanche Johnson

Blanche Dunn Weaver Johnson, 90, Chattanooga, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 4, 2012.Mrs. Johnson was a lifelong resident of the Tennessee, North Georgia area and a member of Bayside Baptist Church. She retired from DuPont, was a member of the Orchid Society and operated Johnsons Florist. Mrs. Johnson enjoyed crocheting gifts for Hospice and making booties for Triple A.She was preceded in death by husband, Clifford "Johnny" Johnson; and brother, Robert Lee Dunn.Survivors are son, Robert Dennis (Shirley) Weaver, Weaverville, N.C.; daughter, Paula "Donna" (Lynn) Swafford, Ringgold; stepson, Ralph Johnson, Indianapolis, Ind.; stepdaughters, Anna Jean Scott, Indianapolis, Ind., and Mildred Dooley, Harrison; grandchildren, Donna Westra, Ringgold, Alex Swafford, Ringgold, Randall Weaver, North Carolina, and Robert Weaver Jr., North Carolina; numerous stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. today, at Heritage Funeral Home, with the Rev. Keith McLeod and the Rev. Grady Cooper officiating.Interment will be in Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park, following the service.Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
