Freddie Bailey, 66, of East Ridge, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at her home. She was born in Knoxville, and attended West High School. She was a member of Brainerd United Methodist Church and attended Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. Freddie recently retired as admittance counselor with CADAS after 10 years of service.She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Edward and Ruby Gouge Hufstedler; and a sister, Rachel Ann Moncier.Survivors include two daughters, Melissa Spiers, of Chattanooga and Carrie McDermitt, of Jonesboro, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Emily Spiers, Natalie Martin and Cooper McDermitt; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandra Lee and Dr. William Hovis, of Knoxville; loving partner, Dr. Lewis Barber; nephews, Dr. W. David (Gina) Hovis, Dr. Christopher L. (Rachel) Hovis, Adam S. Moncier and Nicholas Moncier, all of Knoxville; several great-nieces and great-nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 S. Moore Road with the Rev.
