Vickie McKinney

Vickie Lynn McKinney, 63, passed away on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012 after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of Delashmitt Road Baptist Church.Vickie was a kind and caring caregiver all her life and those who were lucky enough to know her will never forget her beautiful smile and generous spirit.During her life Vickie worked as a secretary at 3M-GE Ceramics and as a caregiver at Home Health with BlueCross-BlueShield and Memorial Hospital. She was an artistic person who excelled at needlecraft. Vickie also loved NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt was her all-time favorite race car driver, and Vickie certainly loved her kitties.We will miss our sweet, precious Vickie and we know she is in Heaven with her dear Lord, her son, Brian; dad, Jake and her grandparents.Vickie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Chester and Lena Pope and Buck and Forestine Price; her father, Joseph Lee Lyles; and son, Brian Campbell.Survivors include her mother, Jimmye Lee Pope Lyles; sister, Cathy Smith; and brother, Joey Lyles; daughters, Crystal and Tammy McKinney; son, Scott McKinney; grandson, Kaleb Blair; nephews, Weston, Derrick and Trey Smith.A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at North Chapel with the Rev.
