Lucy Perkins

CHICKAMAUGA Lucy Virginia Perkins, 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012.She was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and was of the Baptist faith. Lucy was a devoted Christian lady who loved her husband, children and grandchildren. She had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing songs about her Lord.She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon L. and Cora L. Talley Broome Sr.; sister, Winnie Schmidt; brothers, Vernon L. Broome Jr. and Harold Broome.Lucy is survived by her husband of 29 years, Grayson Perkins; children, Willard G. Adcox, of Ringgold, Ronald L. Adcox, of Ringgold, Cora Y. Robertson, of Chickamauga, and Dena L. Logsdon, of Stafford, Va.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, in the funeral home chapel with Brother Michael Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, South.The family will receive friends from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday, 2 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and prior to the service on Sunday.Arrangements by W.L.
