Monterius DeVaughn "Boo" Rollins, 18, of Chattanooga, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012.He was born on March 20, 1994. He attended 21 Century School, Tyner High School, and graduated from Hamilton County Adult High School on May 12, 2012. He attended Chattanooga State Technical Community College, where he wanted to pursue a career in culinary arts. He was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He was also involved in several youth organizations in the city.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo Rollins and Helen Roberts.He is survived by mother, Ericka Holmes and father, Garry Rollins; brothers, Garry and Desmond Allen; sisters, Victoria Damiani and Garyiana Rollins, all of Chattanooga; grandparents, Shirley and James Davenport and Erick Holmes; great-grandmother, Lela Holmes and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and close friends.Contributions for a memorial fund in honor of Monterius Rollins can be made at SunTrust Bank.Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Wayne L. Johnson will be officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery.The body will lie in state after 4 p.m. today and the family will receive friends from 67 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
