PALMER Everett Lee White, 70, passed away on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, following a sudden illness.He was retired from Tennessee Consolidated Coal Co. after working many years in the Coal Mines. He was born in Palmer on Feb. 25, 1942 to Roy Lee Sr. and Bernice Smith White who preceded in death along with his sister, Nina Faye Layne; brothers, Roy "Mule" White Jr. and James David Smith.He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Flora Lee Sanders White; son, James E. (Melinda) White; daughters, Vernetta (John) Poston and Cindy (Jeff) Shrum; nephews he raised as his children, Gary Sanders and Paul Perry; sister, Willie Mae Thompson; grandchildren, Justin, Crystal, Ashlin, Katie and Amanda; five great-grandchildren; several loving nieces, nephews and friends.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Jeremy Robinson and Stacy Smith officiating with burial to follow in the White Cemetery.Visitation: 11 a.m.- 10 p.m. today at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tenn. www.laynefuneralhome.com.
