CHICKAMAUGA Lois Nadene Smith Godfrey, 75, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012.She was born in Hamilton County to the late Joe and Stella Chastain Smith. She was of the Baptist faith and a former member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, Tenn. She was a nurses assistant for Dr. Stepheson in Ringgold and Spring View Nursing Home in Chattanooga. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Alma ODell Gainey, Etta Irene Bond; and a brother: David Eugene Smith.She is survived by her sisters, Betty Jo Thomas, of Cleveland, Tenn, Tina Elliot of Ackworth, Ga., Joyce Teeters, of Chickamauga, Ga.; brothers, Marvin Smith, of Chattanooga, John D. Smith, of Rocky Face, Ga., Charlie Smith, of Rossville, Perry Smith, of Pikeville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m. today and Friday morning prior to the service.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, in the chapel with Hoyt Williams officiating.Interment will follow at Chickamauga Cemetery, Chickamauga, Ga.Online register book at www.wilsonfuneralhome.comArrangements by Wilson Funeral Homes, Chickamauga Chapel.
