J. C. AslingerSALE CREEK James Cleaver "JC" Aslinger, 78, died at his home Saturday morning Oct. 27, 2012. JC was born in Sale Creek on Jan. 28, 1934 the son of the late Andrew and Minnie (Jordan) Aslinger. He was also preceded in death by his wife Joyce Aslinger; his son, Brian Aslinger; two brothers, Raymond and Drewie Aslinger; and his two sisters, Mavis Salmon and Sylvia Hodge.JC was a graduate of Sale Creek High School, class of 1952 and had been employed as an insurance salesman and then as an auto salesman. He was of the Baptist faith and was a Mason.He is survived by his step-daughter, Rhonda Dixon, of Ooltewah; two sisters, Violet Carpenter and Vivian Haynes, both of East Ridge; his brother Leland Aslinger, of Soddy and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services for JC will be held Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Barry Purser officiating.
