Barbara Hobbs

Barbara Brickell Hobbs, 75, died peacefully at home from cancer on Monday, Sept. 3, 2012.She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She and Joe were happily married for 50 years. She had a kind, generous heart and everyone who knew her loved her smile and personality. Barbara was a bookkeeper with Ayers Motor Co. and Kelly Cadillac for 35 years. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, a Lady Shriner, and former president of CWI. She was also an avid fan of the Tennessee Vols and Atlanta Braves.She is survived by her husband, Joe Hobbs; son, Lewis, daughters, Pam Burrows and Karen Blackburn; grandchildren, Matt Blackburn, Jeremy Burrows, and Jamie McBryar and her partner, Janine McBryar; and great-grandchildren, Hannah McBryar and Hendley Blackburn.Our family expresses our sincere gratitude to all those who cared for her during this time.Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
