Lucile Carver

RINGGOLD Lucile E. Carver, 81, died peacefully on Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at her home in Ringgold, with her family by her side.She has been an active member at the North Terrace Church of Christ since she moved to the Chattanooga, area in 2007.Lucile lived a simple life that had a huge impact on others. She was a homemaker who was a servant of God and enjoyed serving others. Her life was spent finding ways to help others. She was a loving neighbor and lifelong friend to all that met her.She enjoyed singing and praising God and enjoyed sharing Gods love with others. She exemplified the trait of the widow with two mites in Luke 21, "but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on."She was born Dec. 18, 1930 in Plant City, Fla., grew up in Chiefland, Fla., and spent the majority of her life in the Tampa Bay area. She is survived by sister and her husband, Gloria and Rufus Meriwether, of Temple Terrace Fla.; and brother and his wife, Ruebin and Jeanette Crawford, of Lakeland, Fla., her children, Sandi M. (Carver) and Bob Osterhaus, daughter and her husband, of Ringgold, and son and his ife, Terron "T.C." and Julie Carver, of Claremont, Ga.; her seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.Mrs. Carver was preceded in death by her father, Leon Crawford; mother, Marie C. Franklin; husband, W. Clifton Carver; and a daughter, Veronia Lynn Carver.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services in Chiefland.Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery on CR 330 in Chiefland.Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.On line condolences may be sent through our website at www.hiers-baxley.com.Arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1301 N.
