Ruth Guffey

ROSSVILLE Ruth "Reba" Griffin Guffey, 66, departed this life Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012.She was born in Chattanooga, to the late James and Callie Griffin, and was of the Baptist faith.She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Yvonne Helton, Barbara Blevins, Douglas, James and Robert Griffin. Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Harold Guffey, of Rossville; children, David (Cindy) Guffey, of East Ridge, Cathy Guffey, of Rossville, Darrell (Brenda) Guffey, of Chickamauga, Anthony (Tracey) Guffey, of LaFayette; siblings, Betty Grisham, of Rossville, Linda Durham, of LaFayette, Homer Griffin, of Chattanooga; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. today, Sept. 6, 2012, in the chapel with the Rev. Ronald Cookston officiating.Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.Family will receive friends prior to the service today at the funeral home.Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
