Millard Goodwin

Millard Rhea Goodwin, 64, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012. Born Jan. 18, 1948 to the late James "Red" and Edna Steele Goodwin. He was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran, receiving 2 Purple Hearts and Silver Star Medal. He was a member of VFW #0400, Bandido Mech Charlie and American Legion #106. He was formerly employed with Bull Moose Tube Company and retired from Road Tech. He enjoyed fishing, all sports and was Georgia Bulldog Fan. He was of the Baptist Faith.He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorinda Pendleton Goodwin; sister, Jane Calhoun and brother, Denny Goodwin.Survivors include his daughter, Sherry "George" Cannon, Trenton, Ga.; sisters, Sarah Bailey and Annice (Tim) Newton, all of Trenton, Ga.; special friends, Buddy and Shannon Palmer; three grandchildren, Samantha, Chase and Hayden Cannon; nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. EDT Tuesday, Sept. 11, with Brother John Smith officiating.
