C. Gregory Dix, 67, of Hixson, Tenn. passed away Friday, March 29, 2013. He was born in Long Beach, Calif. to the late Forrest "Happy" and Willie Mae Brooks Dicks. He was a native of Chickamauga, Ga. and had resided in Nashville, Tenn. and most of his life in the Chattanooga, Tenn. area. He was a Life Insurance Underwriter for Unum And American General Insurance Companies. He enjoyed fishing and boating and was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Goodson Dix, of Hixson, Tenn.; their children, Jeff Dixon, of Lewisville, TX, Michael and Wendy Dorroh, of Columbia, S.C., Teresa and Jimmy Malone, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; brother, Joel Reginald Dicks, of Carrollton, Ga.; grandchildren, Tyler and Will Dorroh, Jenna and Matthew Malone; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, prior to the service. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel with Minister Reed Shell officiating.
