Claude Wooten

Rev. LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN Rev. Claude Wooten, 78, died at his home Wednesday, April 3, 2013.He was a lifelong member of the West Brow Community and the pastor of Scenicland Holiness Church. He was retired from American National Insurance Co. and Madex Associates Inc. He enjoyed playing his harmonica, woodworking and fishing with family and friends.Mr. Wooten was preceded in death by his parents, James "Jim" and Dora Wright Wooten; brothers, Charlie and Clyde Wooten; sisters, Ethal McAllister, Eller Wooten, Pearl Gregg, Viola Veal Walton, Grace Collins, Bertha Wooten.He is survived by his wife of 57 years Janella Black Wooten, of Lookout Mountain; daughters, Sheila (Robert) Dougan, of Fayettville, Ga. and Rena (Ken) McAllister, of Lookout Mountain, Ga.; sons, Nathan (Monda) Wooten, of Trenton, GA and Bradley (Linda) Wooten, of Bryant, Ala.; sister, Dolly Morgan, of Lookout Mountain; grandchildren Eric (Amber Pelham) McAllister, Elizabeth (Mike) London, Matisha (Christian) Barajas, Jessica Dougan, Dex Wooten, Hannah Wooten and River Wooten; great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Harrison Barajas, Greyson London, and Joshua Brookshire; also several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday April 5, 2013, at Scenicland Holiness Church with Kenneth Wayne Guffey, Charles Wayne Guffey and Aaron Wooten officiating.Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens, Trenton, Ga.Visitation will be held at Scenicland Holiness Church, from noon until 9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. Friday until time of the service.Arrangements by Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton.
