Rodney Vernon Bailey, 51, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in Atlanta, Ga. He was born Jan. 17, 1962 in Chattanooga, Tenn.Vernon was a 1980 graduate of Kirkman Technical High School and a Veteran of the United States Navy.He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Janet Roman; parents Robert and Patricia Bailey; brother, Jeffrey (Quanita) Bailey; two sisters, Robbie and Darnita Bailey.Services will be held on Tuesday, April 9, at Noon at Phillips Temple. Interment National Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 68 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
