Norma Bancroft

ROSSVILLE Norma Claudetta Bancroft, 81, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, at a local hospital.She was born in Bradshaw, W.Va., and had lived most of her life in the North Georgia area. She retired from Brock Candy Co. after 30 years of service and she was of the Baptist faith. Her passions in life were her family, flowers, working in her yard and solving crossword puzzles. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Cletus Bancroft; parents, Creed and Grace Salyers; sisters and brothers, Mildred Padgett, Martha Gibson, Ralph, Bill, Curtis, and Creed Salyers Jr.Survivors include her children, Teresa (Greg) Stephens, of Hixson, Debbie (Rick) Anderson, of Woodstock, Ga., Kenny Bancroft, of Hixson, and Brian (Gayla) Bancroft, of Cleveland; grandchildren, Chris Thomason, Wendy Cross, Chad Anderson, Matthew Stephens and Abby Bancroft; great-grandchildren, Ben, Daniel, Isaiah and Emilie Cross, and Alyssa Thomason; great-great grandson, Franklin Cross; and several loving nieces and nephews.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. Jim Bennett officiating.Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
