Jeffrey White

Jeffrey Vondell White, 59, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, April, 7, 2013.He was born on Sept. 12, 1953 to Eli and Billie White.At 10 years old, he accepted Jesus Christ and became a member of Greater Tucker Baptist Church. In 1999, he joined Olivet Baptist Church where he was an Elder on the Church Council.Jeffrey was a 1971 graduate of Riverside High School and the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy, class of 1976. He was co-owner of Moore & King Pharmacies for 17 years. Jeffrey also worked at the Hamilton County Health Department, and retired from Walgreens in 2012.He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Eli White.Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Saundra White; his children, Natalie Lampkin, Kevin (Jari) and Kenneth (Erika) White; his mother, Billie White; brothers, Larry (Paula) and Ronald (Brenda) White; sisters, Lavonne Kay (Rodney) Hunter and Gwendolyn (Larry) Greene; and seven grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area, P.O. Box 28105, Chattanooga, TN 37424, in his memory.Services will be held at noon on Saturday, April 13, at Olivet Baptist Church.Interment will follow at Lakewood East Cemetery.Visitation will be today from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Olivet Baptist Church.Arrangements by John P.
