Arthur Moody

W. Arthur Moody, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013. He was 94 years old.Arthur was born in Rogers, Ark., and raised in Webster Groves, Mo. He attended Columbia University and received his degree from Harding University in Searcy, Ark . Arthur retired from Commercial Union Insurance Co. He was a member of North Hixson Church of Christ and has been a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past 21 years.He was preceded in death by a son, Curry Thomas Moody.Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Blanche Timmerman Moody; children, Arthur and wife, Diana Moody, Mary Kay and husband, Sandy Steinman and Nan and husband, Bill Holt; daughter-in-law, Cheri Moody; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the North Chapel.Services for Arthur will follow at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Minister Bill Walton, and Arthurs grandsons, Bryan and Brent officiating.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanooganorthchapel.com.Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
