SWEETWATER Ethel Gaines, 85, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Sweetwater Hospital.She was a member of North Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Sweetwater.Preceded in death by her father, Med Thompson; mother, Mattie Belle York; first husband, Paul Latham Sr.; daughter, Fancine Anderson; son, Wayne Latham; sister, Zella Dozier; brother, James York.Survivors include her husband, John Hugh Gaines, of Sweetwater; daughters, Donna and Samuel Barnes, of Fort Pierce, Fla., Kathy and Lisman Dolphy, of Belleville, Ill.; sons, Ronny and JoAnn Latham and Paul Richard Latham Jr., both of Sweetwater, several grandchildren.The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 24, 2013, at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in Kykers Chapel with Rev.
