Janie Adkins

Janie Brown Adkins, 46, formerly of Cleveland, Tenn., passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, in Chattanooga.Janie was born in Morristown, Tenn., and raised in Cleveland, where she graduated from Cleveland High School. She and her husband attended Calvary Baptist Church in Red Bank while living in Chattanooga where she also worked as a dental assistant. She most recently lived in Evans, Ga.She was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie Brown.Surviving are her husband of 23 years, Kenny Adkins; son, Michael Adkins; father, Fred Brown; brother, Mike (Angie) Brown and children, Meredith and Will; sister, Jeanie (Billy) Smith and children Taylor and Chandler; and mother and father-in-law, Ken and Anita Adkins.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, April 26, 2013, and from noon to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the funeral home.Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens West.Memorial donations may be made to Crohns & Colitis Foundation of America (National Processing Center, Attn: Honor and Memorial Gifts, P.O.
