Lillian Gilbreath

LaFAYETTE Lillian Melvine Stoker Gilbreath, 91, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at her residence. She was born Aug. 19, 1921 to the late Wyley and Mary Stoker in Teloga, Ga. She was of the Baptist faith, a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, retired from E.T. Barwick and she enjoyed gardening and quilting.She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Cooper Gilbreath; brothers, Oscar, Ray, James and Jack Stoker; sisters, Bessie Durham and Anna Stoker.Survivors include her children, Douglas (Carolyn) Gilbreath and Carolyn (Clint) Durham, both of LaFayette; sister, Myrtle (Lilton) Johnson of Mentone four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
