Wilburn Keener

PALMERWilburn "Bud" Keener, 70, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013.He was retired from Tuftco in Palmer, loved fishing, hunting, gardening and camping and anything outdoors. Bud was a coalminer in his younger years.He was born April 10, 1943 to Luther and Gracie Kilgore Keener who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Elmer and Jack Keener; sisters, Stella King and Mary Childers.He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Fults Keener; son, Eric Keener; daughter, Sonia Hillis Thompson; brothers, Thurman (Sherry) and Jimmy (Patsy) Keener; sisters, Dolly Myers (Dwight), Ola Stockwell (Late James) and Lola Curtis (Late Harold); loving nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers Ronnie Partin and Philip Fults officiating with burial to follow in Browns Chapel Cemetery.Visitation: 1 p.m.-10 p.m. CDTtoday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tenn. www.laynefuneralhome.com.
