Ina Ford

SPRING CITY Ina Elrod Ford, 95, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at her home.A lifetime resident of Spring City, Ina was the daughter of the late Herbert E. and Alice Gilliam Elrod. She was a graduate of Spring City High School. Retired from the U. S. Postal Service after 41 years of service, Ina was a member and past president of the Spring City Chapter of the Business and Professional Womens Club and a member of the Watts Bar Chapter of Federally Employed Women's Club.Ina was preceded in death by her son, James G. Ford Jr.; brother, J. A. Elrod; sisters, Vera, Helen and Pauline Elrod, Bernice Ezell and Irene Trew.Survivors include her son, Dr. Robert "Corky" Ford, of Seymour; grandsons, David Ford and Jason Ford, both of Knoxville; brother, Herbert Elrod, of Boise, Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services and burial are private. A Celebration of Life for Ina Ford will be held Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Spring City United Methodist Church, 245 Church Street, Spring City. This will be an informal gathering with refreshments served.
