Henry Bible

GUILD Henry Lee Bible passed away at his home on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013.A lifelong resident of Marion County, Mr. Bible was a much beloved husband, father, grand father and great-grandfather. He was an avid sportsman and entrepreneur that began with a small restaurant and service station in Haletown in 1952. His business interests expanded over the years into real estate as well as a career as a electrician with Southern Railroad from which he retired. He was a member of Olive Branch Lodge #297 of Jasper for many years.He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry B. Bible and Lora Reeves Bible Janeway; brother, William Clark "W.C." Bible; sisters, Freda Adams, Mary Velda Parris, Betty Bible and Patrica Jenkins.Mr. Bible is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Conner Bible; sons, Mike (Linda) and Bob Bible; daughter, Candy Royer (David); grandchildren, Shelby Chesson (Drew), Suzanne Carver (Casey), Sharon Gross (Matthew), Lori Weikle, John Thomas (Jennifer) and Lillie Frakes, Kayleigh Heaton; great-grandchildren, Julia Chesson, Madeline Chesson, Andrew Long Chesson IV, Natalie Chesson, Mary Chesson, Carson Carver, Conner Weikle, Patrick Weikle, John Henry Thomas, Jude Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. CDT today, Aug. 3, 2013, with Brother Lloyd Harvill officiating.Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.Pallbearers will be Estel Kilgore, Carl Brown, Chester Huff, Bob Tuders, Joe Morgan and Mike Betts.The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of the service today.In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Mr. Bibles name to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, Guild First Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.To send online condolences visit www.tatefh.com.Arrangements by Tate Funeral Home LLC, Jasper, 423-942-9500.
