Ruben Miller

Ruben Bethel Miller, 97, of Chattanooga, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013.He was born Sept. 6, 1915 in Daylight, Tenn., a son of the late Ernest Miller and Aggie Bell Bost Miller. He was a member of Lookout Valley Presbyterian Church. Mr. Miller enjoyed being retired as it gave him time for family, travel and gardening.Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Margaret Miller; son, Charles (Deborah) Miller; granddaughters, Sandy Miller and Teresa (Charles) Byers; great-grandchildren, Jeremy (Crystal) Reed, Jennifer (Jason) Chandler and Aimee Byers; great-great-grandchildren, Andrew Reed, Allyson Reed, Skylar Henley, Rylan Chandler, Christian Chandler, McKenzie Chandler; sisters, Edna Paris and Jimmie Blanks and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. today, Aug. 9, at Lookout Valley Presbyterian Church with Reverend Grady Davidson and Denise French officiating.Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, West.The family will receive friends at the church from noon-2 p.m. today.Memorial contributions may be made to Lookout Valley Presbyterian Church, 435 Patten Chapel Road, Chattanooga, TN 37419, or Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.Chattanoogaeastchapel.com.Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, East Chapel 404 S.
