Ann Collins-TalleyAnnie Jane Tallent Collins Talley, 92, of East Ridge, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, Aug. 12, 2013.She was born in Rhea County, Tenn. to the late James T. and Rosa C. Houston Tallent.During her life she had worked at Miller Hoisery Mill, Mar-Mode Hoisery Mill and went on to retail sales at Millers, Lovemans, J.C. Penneys and Lerners Department stores at Northgate and Eastgate Malls for many years. She was a longtime member of Marantha Baptist Church in Chattanooga. One her greatest joys in life was gospel music. She had a beautiful alto voice and worked in music ministry with her husband Paul Collins. She and Paul passed that legacy on to their children who have spent their lives in music ministry.She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul J. Collins and Rev. Bruce Talley; son, Tom Collins who passed away on May 22, 2010, a special friend, Bill Williams; sisters, Geneva Roy, Marietta Turpin Morganthall, Thelma Davis, Louise Davis, Pauline Winston; brothers, Howard, Floyd and Clarence Tallent.She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Patty and Len Tanner, of Sherwood, Ark., Nancy and Ed Wilson, of Rossville, Lisa and Jud Lowery, of Chattanooga; daughter-in-law, Wanda Collins, of East Ridge; sister, Margie McCrimmon, of Harrison, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. today and Thursday after 11 a.m. prior to the services.Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, in the chapel with Rev. Billy Dean and Rev. Bill Gardner.Burial will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South, Rossville.Online register book at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com. Arrangements by W. L.
