June Sutherland

Florence "June" Sutherland, 84, passed away Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, in a local hospital.She was born and raised in Pleasant Shade, Tenn., but had lived in the Chattanooga area for over 50 years. June was preceded in death by her parents, N.E. and Ruth Jones; daughter, Helen West; and husband, Bill Sutherland; sisters, Alma Gregory and Mary Lou Taylor; and brothers, J. B. Jones and Billy Jones.June is survived by her children, Calvin (Linda) Holder, of Hendersonville, Tenn. and Charlene (Bob) Stephenson, of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren, Scott (Misty) West, Wendy (Andy) Thomas, Angie Iveson, Cheston (April) Holder, Brandon (Holly) Holder, Jenny (Adam) Thomas and Jessica (Tim) Aslinger; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister, May Carver; brother, Ray Beasley Jones, both of Lafayette Tenn., and many nieces and nephews. Also, her beloved and spoiled dog and companion, Rocky.A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, at Anthony Funeral Home in Hartsville, Tenn., with burial in Dixon Springs Tenn. June will be laid to rest with her parents and very much loved daughter, Helen. We are going to miss you.Mom, but we know that you are now without pain and are at peace.
