WILDWOOD Rev. Dean Lester Sippel, 82 departed this life Monday, Aug. 12, 2013.He was born in Galesburg, Ill., to the late Lester and Marjorie Sippel. Dean was a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and later worked for Moody Broadcast for many years as a Broadcaster, assistant station manager, station manager, and producer for the program "Changed Lives" for 17 years. He served his country with the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War and was a member of Duncan Park Baptist Church in East Ridge, Tenn. He was also preceded in death by his son, Joel Sippel; and his wife, Ruth Sippel.Survivors include his son, Bruce Sippel, of Huntsville, Ala.; brothers, Larry and David Sippel, both of California, grandchildren, Kristy Sippel, Lyndi Anthony; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 in the chapel with Rev. Jeff Jackson and Bill Gustafson officiating.Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.Family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, and prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Moody Ministries at moodyministries.net.
