Sharon Jewell

ROSSVILLE Sharon M. Jewell, 56, passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, in a local hospital.She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and Rossville areas and was currently employed with BlueCross BlueShield for the past 13 years as a Customer Advocate. Prior to working at Blue Cross-Blue Shield, she was employed at Buster Brown. Her passions in life were her family, working, shopping, making people laugh, and enjoying her dogs, Mister Mooney, Pearl, Rue, Muffin and Sadie.She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pearl Mooney; and aunt, Jane Malcolm.Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Chelsea and Greg Stephens, of Chattanooga; brother, Mike Mooney, of Rossville; sister, Ann Grover, of Rossville; and nieces, April Kitchen and Jordan Mooney.Condolences may be shared at lane-southcrestchapel.com.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Partnership for Family Children and Adults at www.partnershipfca.com.The family will have a gathering of friends Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
