LaFAYETTE Howard Melvin Goodman, 58, died Friday, August 22, 2013.Preceded in death by parents, Walter and Nannie Lee Duckett Goodman; grandsons, Brandon and Matthew Goodman; and brother, Roger Goodman.Survived by sons, Rev. Paul (Amanda) Goodman, of Ringgold, Jason (Kim) Goodman, of East Ridge; sisters, Margie Cannon, Ada Jackson, Evie Lee Peppers, all of LaFayette; brothers, W.T., David, Michael, Leonard, DeWayne and Bruce Goodman, all of LaFayette; grandchildren, Savannah, Dakota, Jaden, Jaley, Leeland Goodman, Tucker Rhodes and Hannah Mitchell.Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel Saturday at 11 a.m. Service conducted by the Rev. Larry Callahan and Rev. Chris Spears.Interment in LaFayette Cemetery.Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. today.The arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
