Ronald Glenn

CHICKAMAUGA Ronald Edward Glenn, 68, formerly of Chickamauga, went home to be with our Father on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, in a local hospital.Mr. Glenn was born in Gadsden, Ala., on March 16, 1945 to the late Ralph Edward and Dicie Brown Glenn. He was of the Baptist faith and worked for many years in maintenance with the Walker County School System. He retired from Crystal Springs Textiles in 2001 and was preceded in death by his brothers, Bruce Wayne Glenn and Nathan Thomas Glenn; and his best friend, Michael Parker.Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 45 years, Carolyn Small Glenn; four loving children, Robert (Jennifer) Glenn, Karen (Randy) Glenn Bullard, Michael (Teresa) Glenn and Kaylah (Steven) Glenn Harrell; sister, Deborah Hodge; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the South Crest Chapel with Bishop Justin Fawsom and Melvin Wimpee officiating.Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.To share expressions of sympathy, visit lane-southcrestchapel.com.The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
