LH Dantzler

L.H. "Tot" Dantzler, 99. of Signal Mountain, passed away quietly Monday morning, Aug. 26, 2013.He was preceded in death by wives, Marie Wilson Dantzler and Ernestine Tyndall Dantzler; and his son, Frantz L. Dantzler.He was retired from Combustion Engineering, where he was supervisor in the inspection department.Tot was a friend to many Tennessee Temple students and helped missionaries in Romania and was loved by many. He was a good and honorable man, who followed Jesus Christ-loved the poor and needy, loved his Creator. His favorite song reflected all he stood for and lived, "A Trophy of His Grace".Tot is survived by his son, Andre J. Dantzler Sr.; and daughter, Hilda Dantzler McGill; seven grandchildren, DAnn M. Zickau, Andre J. Dantzler, Nathan L. Dantzler, Carl R. McGill, Shannon M. Oliver, Rebecca M. Wigley and Amy M. Foote; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Bob McCoy officiating.Interment will be in Sarahs Chapel, Trenton, Ga.The family will received friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace.Our family wants to publicly thank the staff at NHC Dunlap.
