TRACY CITY Darrell Layne, 61 passed away Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, from injuries in a logging accident.Darrell was an avid outdoors man who loved hunting, camping and all that nature had to enjoy. He had worked as a coalminer and logger most of his life.He was preceded in death by his sister, Darla Layne Christian.Survivors: children, Rocky D. Layne, Carrie A. Frost, Michael L. Wilkinson and Christy Wilkinson Dykes; parents, Alfred L. and Betty J. Layne; brothers, Ricky (Stephanie) Layne, Johnny Layne, all of Tracy City; sister, Gwen (Don) Smith, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; grandchildren, Brandi Collins, Blake Layne, Megan Frost, Sidnie Dykes, Brayden Frost, Ciera Layne, Dominique Wilkinson, Savannah Dykes, Dontah Wilkinson.Funeral: 2 p.m. CDT Friday at Myers Hill First Congregational Methodist Church. Ministers Dennis Rollins and Freddie Savage will officiate.Burial: Pryor Ridge Cemetery. Visitation: today 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
