Jacquelyne Brannen

Jacquelyne Joy Brannen, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013. She was 58 years old.Jacquelyne was born on June 15, 1955 in Quebec, Canada. She grew up in Ducktown, Tenn., and has been a long time resident of the Chattanooga area. Jacquelyne earned a degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She worked for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee for 24 years, serving as a customer service manager. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Blake; and a brother, Robert Blake Jr.Jacquelyne is survived by her husband of 36 years, John "Moonpie" Brannen; and was a loving mother to her five children, Jason, Bobby (Rachel), Jonathan (Lauren), Nikki and Darcy Brannen; brothers, Jeff (Chris) Blake, of Anchorage, Alaska, Jerry (Ro) Blake, of Atlanta, John (Elaine) Blake, of Soddy-Daisy and Joel (Wanda) Blake, of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.The family will also receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 30, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.There will also be a private service for the family only today, Aug. 30.The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Jacquelynes name to the American Cancer Society at 6221 Shallowford Road, Suite 102, Chattanooga, TN 37421.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanooganorthchapel.com.Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
