Vincent Eldridge, Sr. Vincent "Hoss Cat" Wayne Eldridge, Sr., 74, of Soddy-Daisy passed Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013. Mr. Eldridge retired from TVA in 1990 after many years of service. He was a member of Soddy Masonic Lodge #418 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Eldridge and brother, Winfred Lynn Eldridge. Survivors include his sons, Vincent "Smiley" Eldridge, of Bledsoe Co. and Ed Eldridge, of Soddy-Daisy; daughters, Angela Henderson and Susan Reno, both of Soddy-Daisy; Virginia Turner, of Spring City and Maggie Hamblen, of Whitwell; brother, Charles Eldridge, Jr., of Indianapolis, IN; sisters, Augustus Marcum and Evelene McElyea, both of Indianapolis, IN; Thelma Rodenberg, of Florida and Venus Franks Baltimore, of Maryland; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday Dec. 3, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Darrell Winters officiating. Interment will be in Rhea Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
